The first DLC update for Evil Dead: The Game is on the way this summer, with the Army of Darkness-based “Castle Kandar” map being added to the game in the coming months. Scorn is currently slated for release in October 2022 for PC and the Xbox Series. “We’re full steam ahead for our release in October and excited to be able to show off more of the game soon.” Animation and VFX are currently the biggest focus, not to mention ironing out bugs and finalizing everything. In particular, the update focuses on the game’s weapons from concept to completion, as well as going over some underlying themes within Scorn, and explain what the role weapons will play in the game. The devs have also posted another development update to the game’s Kickstarter page, which also includes additional snippets of gameplay footage. That was until YouTuber Cycu1 posted a new gameplay video for Scorn, which immediately hits home for fans of Alien. Updates on the Giger-inspired first-person adventure game Scorn have been slow since developer Ebb Software announced the game’s new release date last December.
